While climate change affects everyone, its impacts are not experienced equally.

Across the globe, women—especially those in underserved and underrepresented communities—face unique challenges, from limited access to resources to increased risks during climate disasters. Yet, it is precisely within these challenges that women are stepping up as powerful agents of change, driving community-driven solutions.

Why Women Are on the Frontlines

  • 🌪️ 14x more likely to die: Women and children are disproportionately affected by climate disasters.
  • 🌍 80% of climate refugees: Women make up the vast majority of people displaced due to climate-related events.
  • ⚠️ Increased gender-based violence: Disasters often worsen existing inequalities and risks.

But these numbers are only part of the picture.

Across the globe, young women are stepping forward—not defined by their challenges, but by their leadership. They are building solutions, mobilizing communities, and driving meaningful change from the ground up.
